Legislative Decree No. 231 of 8 June 2001 introduced rules and regulations of administrative liability of companies.

According to this framework, companies can be held responsible, and consequently subject to fines, in relation to some offenses committed or attempted by directors or employees in the interest or benefit of the company.

In accordance to the Decree, a company may be exempted from liability provided that it has adopted and effectively implemented an organizational model to prevent offenses under this legislation. Icap-Sira Chemicals and Polymers S.p.A, by resolution of the Board of Directors on June 14, 2011, in accordance with the provisions of the Decree, adopted a Model of Organization and Management and appointed a Supervisory Board with independent authority of initiative and control.

With the development of this document the company formulates behavioural guidelines that all employees and partners must comply in the management of relationships inside and outside the company, inspired by the values of ethics and honesty, integrity, fairness, respect for laws and regulations and transparency of operations.
