Investigation on dynamic VOC production from industrial, high solids content emulsion polymerization

Dr Sabrina Copelli and Dr Marco Barozzi of Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, ICAP-SIRA external collaborators, made a speech at MECCE, the 15th Mediterranean Congress in Chemical Engineering by Expoquimia, about an investigation on the dinamics of VOC production from industrial, high-solids-content emulsion polymerization processes.

This work describes a preliminary study on the evolution and content of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in two industrial recipes, involving emulsion polymerization that was performed in ICAP-SIRA R&D laboratories by our colleagues Carlo Bottinelli, Jacopo Ghezzi, Luca Leopardi and Anita Barni.
Performing this study ICAP-SIRA reasserts its strong interest in reducing VOC in our grades, in order to achieve better quality products and reduce our impact on environment, also minimizing hazards for workers and final users.
