The editorial team of OKMugello interviewed Samuele Pratesi, Director of the ICAP-SIRA Barberino di Mugello plant, who discussed the company’s history, range of production, and the innovation that distinguishes ICAP-SIRA.
The ICAP-SIRA facility in Barberino di Mugello (Florence) is the company’s largest production plant.
For 55 years, it has been specialized in the production of water based acrylic resins, solvents, and UV Hot Melts used in several industrial sectors.
Throughout the interview is emphasized ICAP-SIRA’s commitment to sustainability issues, ensuring full compliance with environmental standards during production and processing stages.
ICAP-SIRA also constructed two small lakes at the entrance of the Barberino di Mugello plant. These lakes are designed to hold significant amounts of water in case of floods or harmful materials released from accidents or spills, to prevent external environmental impacts.
